Description: Harrisburg Depot is used as the Transportation Center for bus and train. I can take the bus to Harrisburg to catch the train and enjoy a walk around Harrisburg while I'm waiting.
This building, as is true of many older train stations, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has a unique style, the Queen Anne style, and a unique train shed structure. In 1922 over 100 trains arrived and departed at the station each day. Now you can catch a train to Chicago once a day or the more frequent trains to Philadelphia.
To log this cache, you need to enter a 2 diget secret code.
1) What hour did the original portion of the present building open?
2) How many train station structures have been built at this site including the present building?
