Description: A short, 2-stage multi-cache near the sledding hill in Harbin Park, Fairfield, Ohio.
Having lived in Texas until a few months ago, neither Miss Pumpkin nor Curly Tiger had ever seen enough snow to go sledding on - until a couple of weeks ago. This cache commemorates their first sledding experience. Enjoy the view!
At the posted coordinates, look for a small plaque near the base of the flagpole at the top of the sledding hill. The first line of the plaque has a 3-word phrase in quotes. Use the following to decrypt the coordinates for stage 2:
Phrase on the plaque:
'' | __ | __ | __ | __ | __ | __ | __ | | | __ | __ | __ | __ | __ | | | __ | __ | __ | __ | '' |
Use the 3-word phrase to determine U, V, W, X, Y, and Z:
U=letter #9,
V=letter #8
W=letter #16
X=letter #2
Y=letter #12, and
Z=letter #8
Once you have U, V, W, X, Y, and Z, use the decryption key to get the coordinates:
Decryption key:
A=2 | B=1 | C=8 | D=3 |
E=6 | F=9 | G=5 | H=0 | I=4 | J=7 |
The coordinates for the final cache are:
N39º19.UVW
W084º34.XYZ
Container is an army-surplus decon container, about twice the size of an Altoids tin.
