#I can't say I'm excited about the New York Times article's slant on #geocaching. Seems incredibly negative. Not sure how that came out from the #interviews.
well, i mean you don't really expect a mainstream publication to understand, do you? a lot of the slashdot weenies didn't understand either. reminds me of when i tried explaining to my father why i bought a gps. "it tells you exactly where you are," i said lamely. "i know exactly where i am!" was his clever retort.
it seems to me like either you "get it" or you don't - and most reporters are not going to. but i think that the article conveyed the sport realistically enough that people who read the article and are interested will investigate it further. i think that's really the best we can hope for.
