I'd stick with fairly unimproved public areas like Macleay Park, Forest
Park, the sorts of places where the Rose Festival folks like to use for
their annual Medallion Hunt.

BTW, there are some really cool tree cavities to be found in the west
end of Rooster Rock Park... :-)
