RE: [gpsstash] Garmin eMap for Geocaching?

I'm going to do my first hunt today, but geocaching is no different than
finding anything else. I have an emap and like it a lot. The only
disadvantage to the emap is the tracks algorithm. You can't set it by
distance or time. It picks the locations to store for the tracking
automatically. You need to save waypoint yourself if you are in a tight
spot.

From what users have said, the track locations are a function of the zoom
factor on the screen, so zoom in the screen to get more points saved. This
still is not as good as saving the points based on time, which is something
you want for nasty hill climbing where you spent some time getting to a spot
that you really have to find again on the way down.

Anyway, that is my only complaint about the emap, except of course the price
when you throw the CDROM into the equation. Try www.tvnav.com for pricing.
