I looked at that file in notepad too. It's pretty nasty. I'm working on
something that will allow you to do something similar. I'll let you know
more once it gets out of the testing stage.

In the meantime if anyone knows how to generate an mps file, please let me
know. Based on the Garmin data specification (ack!) I doubt it is easy. It's
probably designed that way so people can't simply download all the
coordinates from their mapsource software and resell it.

You know what would be cool? If you could go to the website, search for
stashes near your location, then DOWNLOAD a .mps file that's written on
the fly of those stash's coordinates. Get the file, view them on your
map software, make a plan, and download direct to your gps.

That would be pretty sweet.

Of course, I have no idea what the format of the files are (took a
quick peek with a text editor- it's not just text). But it could be
worth inquiring with garmin.

Just an idea.
