I haven't read this whole thread yet, but here's my opinion:
List the coordinates, email address of stasher, and an optional web link. That's it.
Let the stasher publish whatever information they want to about their stash on their own web page. I'm working on just such a page for own stashes. If a stasher doesn't have a host provider, I'm sure someone out there will be willing to host them, but it shouldn't be a duty of the main listing.
That relieves the burden of Mike and Alan having to coordinate and store text, photos, etc. on behalf of others. (It would also make my distance table/sort routine much easier... ;)
