RE: [gpsstash] Travel Voucher for bumming a room to geocache [GPS Stash]
Ah... now it makes sense... I wouldn't have a clue who appears on our bills. They changed them a few years ago - they're now so plasticy and shiny that the light reflects brightly off them making them a pain to read. Thankfully they're colour coded.
So... can you combine the two names together, such as for $120, could you say a Benjack?

Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the US (1829-1837) and appears on the US $20 bill. Benjamin Franklin was one of our founding fathers and appears on the $100 bill. As a result, slang has developed here for the bills: "Jackson" for the $20 bill, and "Benjamin" for the $100 bill.
"Benjamins" has also become generic slang for money, as in "He's doing it all for the Benjamins."

I'm a little confused, what is 'Jackson' and 'Benjamin'?

Whoops...my bad. I was having a long day at work and my brain was shutting off every time it possibly could.
$20 seems a lot more reasonable. For some reason Jackson was equaling Benjamin in my mind =)

$20 won't even rent you a cot outside the bus station in these parts?
Heck, I can't ever in my entire life remember paying less than $25 for a room out in the boondocks. (That was a scary looking room indeed)
Not everyone has a room to lend out, and not everyone travels with the same frequency, so it only makes sense to set some arbitrary but low amount for this.
We could all mooch off each other, but some (not you of course) would abuse this and kill it for the rest of us.
I was thinking $20 because it's lower in price than the cheesiest flophouse, but enough to cover the added expenses like extra power and water usage...etc...
YMMV
