When (if ever) should I toss in the towel on the rec hierarchy and switch to alt?
Is anyone else willing to share with the letterbox/confluence crowd?
I'm getting mostly positive feedback here and in the Navicache forums. The Groundspeak forums (or rather, those there who've voiced their opinion) aren't being as open to the idea.
I refuse to give up on the newsgroup idea.
Too many people who are also tired of things like downloading the entire (300 post) "What do you do for a living" thread to see one or two additions at the bottom.
I really (really-really-really-really-really) want to sync my Palm with the geocaching newsgroup and read it while in line at the bank.
I can do this with any other topic of discussion I'm interested in.
sci.geo.satellite-nav - Yes Kibology - yes Peeves - yes rec.auto.makers.honda - No problem
Any one of the 29,446 groups available on the Newsguy server can be read by me, while sitting at my computer or while offline and out waiting for a haircut.
