I lurk here, but since I don't know much about getting a Usenet group started, and often find that newsgroups don't readilly show up on the news server that my ISP uses nor my alternative on news.cis.dfn.de, then I just wait to see if they get approved then email the ISP to see if they will add it.
I think I read too many GPS newsgroups of one form or another though.
