geocache database as a waypoint file?

I was thinking it would be really cool if somebody could write a script that
could take the GeoCache database and provide a downloadable waypoint file from
it. Imagine if you could do the standard geocache web searches by zip code,
state, country, etc. and then on the results page there was a pulldown to select
your GPS type and a button to download a waypoint file you could load directly
into your GPS. If you really wanted to make it slick, the user profile could
remember what type GPS & software you use so that it gave you the proper file
format without asking all the time. Anybody up to the programming challenge?
