I can't see any good reason to start a parallel list. It can only confuse
the newcomers and bother the 450+ current members.

I do agree that the yahoo sign-in procedure is not at the best. On the other
hand the "sponsor message" that used to be on top of text with egroups is
now rejected at the bottom of the message. As I never read past the end of
the usefull contribution they can add whatever they want (up to 512
bytes!)...

"official" has no meaning than claiming exclusivity. this list has proven
its usefullness and as the only one was de-facto an "official" one. why to
challenge it?
