RE: [gpsstash] The final note about Vilifying Irish (hopefully)

Further to my last email and point b in particular... I actually hope to develop a means of moving cache data between sites automatically (eg, it happens behind the scenes) - so even if they weren't to enter the cache information on all sites, it would actually get filtered through (that is unless they check the option to NOT have it filter through).

OK... Here are my assurances...

a) The information will NOT be copyright - I have no intention to claim ownership.

b) I have no intention of stopping people entering their caches on other websites (competing or not) - I encourage it.

c) I cannot stop a company from STEALING the information from my website to then inturn make a profit, but rest assured I WILL try and stop them - UNLESS they can assure me they won't make a profit or are linking to my website LIVE.

d) All the information to caches on my website will remain free to people ALWAYS.

I am more than happy to make aware of my assurances before I start. I feel like a politician about to get elected except that I have all intentions of keeping my promises.

Regards,
Jeremy Hurst

What you really need are assurances to the cache stashers that their stashes
are not copyrighted. It is one thing to stop some company from stealing your
database, but another thing for a website to demand you can't enter the
information of your stash in the various competing websites.
