Well, I only know from the five caches that I placed, and the other few
that I visited. There was noticable effect on three of my five. On two
occasions I visited other peoples caches that were accessable by
switchback trails. From my approach, I was unaware of the switchback
trails, there were no trail maps available, I ended up bushwhacking to
get to the cache then returning by the trail. I figure that if you
multiply my experiences by many thousands, then we got a problem. Better
to fix it early in the game than to wait until there is a war with the
Sierra Club or someone else.
