Re: [gpsstash] GPS Receiver Recommendations?

Stay away from the Mag 310. It only offers 2 digits of precision and
most caches have 3 digits of precision in the posted coordinates. I own
both the Magellan 315 and the basic eTrex. I prefer the eTrex, but the
Magellan with its quadrilfilar antenna gets better reception under
medium to heavy tree cover.

I have a Magellan 315 and love it so I'm sure the 310 would work great.
I find it has excellent reception in heavy tree cover and all
circumstances which is a plus if you live in a wooded area.

Subject: [gpsstash] GPS Receiver Recommendations?

What a great idea! I stumbled across geocaching while visiting the
planetoftheapes.com website. After a little looking around at
geocaching.com, I discovered that there are several stashes in my
immediate area! Sounds like a blast! I have to get a GPS receiver
now.

Any recommendations for which one to get? I am around ebay and ubid
for one that is not too expensive, yet, helpful.

How about the Magellan 310?

Let me know.

Thanks!
