Game 4 of Geodashing begins October 1. It will run until October 31, 2001. Dashpoints have been posted to http://Geodashing.org.
Game 4 has more dashpoints than ever. Countries that were included in Game 3 now have about 50% more dashpoints. And there are now dashpoints in virtually all countries of the world. So, whether you are in Europe or New Zealand or almost anywhere else, there are dashpoints near you.
The maps are improved, making it easier to get to online maps from MapBlast or, for dashpoints in the USA, maps from TopoZone or satellite images from TerraServer. Also, lists of dashpoints in various formats are available for download (WPT for Garmin MapSource, LOC for TopoGrafix EasyGPS, or CSV format for most spreadsheet and database programs), in case you want to do your analysis offline.
About Geodashing: Geodashing is a variant of a GPS stash hunt game in which the waypoints, or dashpoints, are virtual (no physical stashes) and randomly placed all over the world. The win goes to who can get to the most dashpoints; that is, if you can get to them at all! Each game has a new set of dashpoints making each game different and unpredictable.
