Look out...Geocaching!

The following email was on Kim Komando's Cool Site of the Day and
received this morning. I have deleted parts of her newsletter to
keep this as short as possible. Kim has over 100,000 subscribers.

Look out for another surge in this favorite past time of ours.

AND NOW FOR TODAY'S COOL SITE... Modern day treasure hunt

In olden days, pirates used an incomprehensible map with a big black X
to mark the spot of their buried treasure. Today you can feel some of
the same excitement of finding buried treasure through geocaching.
What
is geocaching? Individuals and organizations set up caches all over
the
world and share the locations on the internet. GPS (Global Positioning
System) users then use the location coordinates to find the caches.

A cache can be filled with any kind of reward. All the visitor is
asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave
something
for the cache. It sounds easy enough, but some caches are located on
the sides of cliffs and other hard to reach places. If you're looking
for something a little out of the ordinary, you might want to give
it a shot.
