Hiya!

If you have a good spread of satellites for a while BEFORE YOU GOT OUT
SEARCHING. You should be ok. Here is what I do.

I get to the location and I let it bake for a while until I have good signal
from as many sats as I can get.

Then I recalibrate the Compass, to make sure it does not go crazy on me
(Check you manual...its super easy).

Then I go looking for the hide. Once I get to about 15 feet from it, then I
put away the GPSr and start searching in a 10 to 15 feet circle.

If this did not address your concern, can you provide a bit more
information? I donĀ¹t understand the problem. What do you mean by the
Screen becomes a mess if you are not moving fast enough?
