Not only did he take the time and effort to create his Web site, but
he had lawyers to threaten lawsuits against others with a different
vision for the hobby. The hobbyists then spoke with their own
checkbooks and decided to spend their money on other things rather
than shell out big bucks to protect their rights. All legal. All
within everyone's rights. But different opinions of what's admirable
or not.

Millions of users find free Linux and free Firefox to be much less
buggy than the commercial alternatives, including the choice of
software used by Groundspeak.
